Easter the Bunny?

I was sitting here sorting Easter candy. Most of my kids are asleep making it a good time to sort candy. BUT, Eric (almost 3) is still awake. So we are having an interesting conversation:

Mom: "Eric, you need to go to bed!"

Eric: "Is Easter comin? The Easter bunny is comin! And Santa, he has to Easter the bunny"... (I guess it takes a Santa kind of magic to Easter a bunny...)

Mom: "The Easter bunny's name is Grams." (she buys the candy for them every year).

Eric: "No, it's not! Easter Bunny is hoppin' down the bunny trail! Grams can't hop down the bunny trail!"

For a family that doesn't really pay any attention to Santa or the Easter Bunny, this little guy has a pretty good idea of how all that works. And he is convinced they are real!
